Fun With Addie!!

We went to Aunt Jenny's house for lunch yesterday on the way home from Gram's and we got to see Addie, and Aunt Beanie too! Everyone is doing well and it was so fun to play with the babies together! They were so cute! Addie is still so tiny and precious, and she feels like a feather in your arms.

Dad as been gone for 10 days and he comes home from Texas tonight :) We can't wait to see him!!!!!

More Snow!!

Mini Vacation

Caden continues to enjoy his stay at Grandma and Popop's house. Cousin Stevie came for dinner last night and had great time with the little guy. Today we went to visit Great Grandma Thorpe and stopped to see Aunt Jenny, Uncle Russ and Addie on the way home. Caden was in a great mood at Grandma's house...he was smiling and talking the whole time! He was such a good boy until he peed on her bed. oops. Rigger and Gracie are also enjoying their stay at Grandma and Grandpa's. As you can see from the last picture, Rigger has decided he likes Axel's bed...Axel weighs 12.5 pounds, but somehow Rig figured out how to squeeze himself in there!! While we are having a great time on our little vacation, we are very excited for Daddy to come home...only 4 more wake ups!!

We Miss Daddy!

Spence is in Texas for winter training and we really miss him! We've had lots of help from our friends on campus...I don't know what we would do without them this week! Caden seems to enjoy his time visiting with everyone! He must feel especially at ease at the Buchner's house...I dropped him off and he slept the whole time I was gone! Now we are at Grammy and Popop Ferrari's house...Caden enjoyed watching football with Popop last night, and today he's being spoiled by his Grammy. She just can't get enough!

Pictures From Tia and 2 month Doctor Visit

Tia Sarah took some awesome photos while she was here visiting! I think she should come back next month for a 3 month photo shoot :)

Caden had his 2 month check up yesterday and he did a great job at the doctors office. He now weighs 12 lbs 12 oz (75th percentile), and he is 24.5 inches long (90th percentile). He was a real trooper when it was time for his shots and he only cried for a minute or so afterward. However, I wasn't as tough as Caden and he stopped crying before I did :( The doctor kept apologizing...I was just a little embarrassed. We have to go back for more in 2 weeks and I'm hoping it will be a better experience because I'll know what to expect!

Tia! Tia! Tia!

Tia means "aunt" in Spanish, and Caden's Tia Sarah came to visit him all the way from Atlanta, Georgia this weekend! Tia has a lot going on right now between planning her wedding, grad school classes, and her thesis, so it was really special that she made the time to come meet Caden. As you can see from the photos, Tia was great with Caden...she loves him so much! And of course after being completely spoiled for a whole weekend, he loves her too :) He can't wait to see her again this summer along with all of his other Bates girls!

Caden and Addie

This was the first time Caden met his cousin, Addie, because he wasn't allowed in the delivery room on Friday. Caden is eight weeks old today and he looks HUGE in these photos! Of course he had no interest in Baby Addie, but that will change soon, I'm sure! It was so cute seeing them next to each other!

Welcome, Cousin Addie!

The beautiful Addison Brook Davis was born Friday afternoon, weighing in at 5 lbs, 14 oz, and 18 inches long. Jen and Russ held up really well throughout the labor, and Addison is a healthy baby! She is so precious!! Caden is about 8 weeks older than his cousin, Addie, and we can't wait to watch the two of them grow up together!

Funny Sock Monkey!

Spencer is in England visiting some rowers and it's not the same without him around! I know he really loves these pictures of Caden and his sock monkey, so I thought I'd put them up so he could see his happy little man from across the world. This is by far Caden's favorite toy and it is so cute how it makes him smile. We miss you Spence!

Time for Toys!

The mama and baby giraffe was the first toy that Caden really took interest in. He stares at it when he is being rocked in the glider and he follows it with his eyes if you move it in front of him.

Nap time in Mom and Dad's bed!

Caden got to go to lots of fun, grown up places this week. He came with us and our friends to dinner on Tuesday and our waiter thought he was so cute...the waiter was a teenage boy, so it was adorable that he took so much interest in an infant! Yesterday Caden got to go to his first Peddie-Blair competition. We watched both the boys and the girls play basketball, and unfortunately, it was not a victorious day for the falcons :(

Week 7

Caden has gotten much better at drinking his milk from a bottle. I think he enjoys it because he can fill up so quickly!

Caden still loves his baths, probably because we make it so nice and toasty in the bathroom. However, he hates getting out of the tub and screams each time!

Caden hasn't been sleeping much, but he still manages to put on a smile during the day. Last night was a good night for him...he slept from 6:30-10, and then from 10:30-1:00. It was pretty messy after that, but that's alright...we'll take whatever sleep we can get! The sad part is that he missed the party last night! Our friends from birthing class came over for dinner with their baby who was born 2 weeks before Caden, and the little man slept the whole time!

We haven't forgotten about these two lovebirds. They both got baths yesterday so they are looking and smelling good...we'll see how long that lasts ;)
