Welcome, Cousin Addie!

The beautiful Addison Brook Davis was born Friday afternoon, weighing in at 5 lbs, 14 oz, and 18 inches long. Jen and Russ held up really well throughout the labor, and Addison is a healthy baby! She is so precious!! Caden is about 8 weeks older than his cousin, Addie, and we can't wait to watch the two of them grow up together!

Funny Sock Monkey!

Spencer is in England visiting some rowers and it's not the same without him around! I know he really loves these pictures of Caden and his sock monkey, so I thought I'd put them up so he could see his happy little man from across the world. This is by far Caden's favorite toy and it is so cute how it makes him smile. We miss you Spence!

Time for Toys!

The mama and baby giraffe was the first toy that Caden really took interest in. He stares at it when he is being rocked in the glider and he follows it with his eyes if you move it in front of him.

Nap time in Mom and Dad's bed!

Caden got to go to lots of fun, grown up places this week. He came with us and our friends to dinner on Tuesday and our waiter thought he was so cute...the waiter was a teenage boy, so it was adorable that he took so much interest in an infant! Yesterday Caden got to go to his first Peddie-Blair competition. We watched both the boys and the girls play basketball, and unfortunately, it was not a victorious day for the falcons :(

Caden in his "C" onesie from Heather...he has a blanket to match!

Their new bed has been a big hit...thanks Gammy and Grumpy!

Week 7

Caden has gotten much better at drinking his milk from a bottle. I think he enjoys it because he can fill up so quickly!

Caden still loves his baths, probably because we make it so nice and toasty in the bathroom. However, he hates getting out of the tub and screams each time!

Caden hasn't been sleeping much, but he still manages to put on a smile during the day. Last night was a good night for him...he slept from 6:30-10, and then from 10:30-1:00. It was pretty messy after that, but that's alright...we'll take whatever sleep we can get! The sad part is that he missed the party last night! Our friends from birthing class came over for dinner with their baby who was born 2 weeks before Caden, and the little man slept the whole time!

We haven't forgotten about these two lovebirds. They both got baths yesterday so they are looking and smelling good...we'll see how long that lasts ;)

Busy Year So Far!

We have kept Caden busy so far this year visiting friends and family and exploring the Peddie campus. While all this activity tires him out, he still has enough energy to smile in his sleep!

We went to visit Great Grandma earlier this week and Aunt Jenny met us there for lunch. Grandma had a great time visiting with Caden and loved holding him in her arms.

Jenny does a great job holding Caden, although it must be difficult being 8 months preggers! We decided that Baby Davis is in there wondering who is squishing her from the outside!

It's been years since Grandma's taken care of a baby, but she hasn't lost her touch! It's amazing how much detail she remembers about all of her babies, and it's really fun listening to all of her stories!

Today was an exciting day for Caden. We walked down to the athletic center and went to the basketball game, and unfortunately the girls lost, but Caden was wide eyed the entire time we were in they gymnasium. He got to meet lots of faculty members and students who were thrilled to see him out and about. Then we went to the pool and hung on deck for a bit, and Caden was ALL SMILES! I think he liked it in there because it was so warm...it put him in a great mood! I forgot to bring my camera so a picture of him when we got back was the best I could do. He was exhausted!

Happy New Year!

Caden was a trooper on Friday night! We went out for a late dinner with the Keefer family and Caden slept in his seat the entire time. We made it back just before the ball dropped, so Caden had to watch through his eyelids, still in his seat.

Happy baby!!

The Ferrari Family came over for a holiday celebration so Caden got to spend some quality time with his aunts, Uncle Russ, and Grandma. Aunt Jenny is getting close to her due date...we can't wait for Baby Davis to finally arrive!!

Uncle Russ, getting warmed up for Baby Davis ;)

Aunt Rissi was exhausted from a long night, so she and Caden took a nap on the sofa together. Too cute!

Caden's First Snow Storm

Driving back from Andover on Tuesday, we stopped to see Aaron, Brea, and Braden. The happy family is doing well and we are all looking forward to the boys being able to play together!!

We returned to lots of snow in Hightstown so Gracie was a happy puppy!

We used our Jeep stroller for the first time and took Caden out for a walk in the snow. He slept almost the entire time!

Back inside playing...Caden is getting better at focusing on objects and following them as they move.
Nap time in his bouncy seat!
