Happy 1st Thanksgiving!

Caden celebrated his first Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpop Ferrari's house. He must have been having a good time because he was such a good baby! He even woke up for a little bit at the end of the night to say hi to everyone!

The potatoes were so good, Dad had to share with Baby Caden.

Spence held Caden during dinner...he is getting really good at doing things with one arm!

Caden finally got to meet his Uncle Coco last night...only a couple more uncles to go!

Caden also got to meet his Great Grandma Thorpe. She was so excited to finally get her hands on him!

Washburn Visit

Caden was lucky to have the Washburn family come visit him in the hospital on Monday night. There is only one family I know that would do 11 hours of driving for a 2 hour visit! It was really special for Caden to meet everyone (well, almost everyone) and see what he's in for...and Spencer and I were thrilled to see everyone so soon after the birth. We are lucky to have so much love and support!

Aunt Skylar and Aunt Summer with Caden sleeping happily.

Uncle Chandler, Uncle Taylor and Uncle Kiefer with Caden....still sleeping....

Grumpy and Gammy with Caden...still sleeping...that's right, he didn't wake up the entire visit!

The Washburn crew with the newest addition to the family. Thank you so much for coming down and spending time with us! We can't wait to see everyone at Christmas!

HE'S HERE!!!!

Caden William Washburn was born last night (Sunday) at 6:08PM. He is a beautiful and healthy baby boy. Megan and I couldn't be happier that he is finally here!

Meg did an incredible job throughout the long labor and is doing great.

I did much less during the labor and spent most of my time being completely amazed by my wife. I am so proud of her!

Caden weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and is 20 3/4 inches long. He's already met Grandma and Granddad Ferrari and all of his aunts and uncles (except for Colson!).

A contingent of Washburns will be down tonight to see him. He's getting an early taste of what he was born into, but no going back now!

Last Belly Pic?

This could be the last picture we get of Meg's belly with the baby still in there...

Meg is doing great, although she is ready to meet the little one! Any time now...

Baby Number One...

One week old, 188 inches long, 35oo lbs. Isn't she beautiful!

Baby Belly!

These were taken about 2 weeks ago, and it feels like my belly has doubled in size since then! Things are going well here in the final stretch. I'm finished with classes for the term and I'm almost done with my grades and comments. Girls will be in the dorm until Saturday, so hopefully Baby can hold off until early next week. Sunday is our official due date!

On the verge...

With our due date two weeks away we are trying to spend as much time as possible outside with the pups. We've let them know that things may be changing in the near future, but that hasn't seemed to register yet, they're still the center of the universe, at least in their own minds...neither of us had practice on Friday so the four of us went to the Monmouth County Battlefield for a nice long walk in the afternoon...it's a beautiful fall here in Jersey, as you can see from the photos! We spent over an hour walking through the trails and the pups had a blast being off leash and checking things out on their own. Of course we spent most of the walk talking about how excited we are for Baby to arrive...nine months is such a long time to wait!!

Gracie waiting up for us...she wants to go explore, but she's afraid to go too far away from Mom and Dad...unlike Rig who was already out of sight!

SURPRISE!

The girls in Masters South threw a surprise baby shower for Baby Washburn last week. They did such a great job!! They decorated the lounge, had lots of food (including cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries) and presents. And best of all, I had no idea that they were planning anything...it is really hard to pull of any surprises at Peddie, but they did it! Baby is going to be so spoiled by these girls! After the shower, we took a group trip to the nursery so they could all see Baby's room...we somehow managed to fit all 26 girls in there, and they loved the Pooh theme. It was so touching that the girls put this all together...we are really lucky to be surrounded by such caring and thoughtful young ladies!
